Happy Thursday First name / Lovely Reader,
Some of you have been with me as readers and friends for a long time. Others of you are probably new to me and my newsletter. Today I thought I'd do a little intro to my family. We were finally all together this past December after a pandemic spent apart. We haven't taken an official family photo since 2007, which was before we left California for Texas. Our youngest was in preschool at the time, and our oldest was in 9th grade.
Fast-forward to us now, living in North Carolina, with all adult children. Our youngest is now 19 and our oldest is 29! How is that possible?
This special photo session includes two ‘might as well be family’ peeps, too. They're besties who have been and will always be part of our group. It was so cold and rainy the day we took these photos, but I love this outtake!
From left to right: Brian (Sam's best friend since 8th grade), Ava (Sophia's might-as-well-be-a-sister and bestie), Sam, Sophia, me, Caleb, Jared, Alex, and Carlos. These people fill my soul with everlasting joy.
