We are so excited to announce that we’re starting up a Cherished Ballito Team! We are in the ignition phase as we pray into this new venture, meet with partners in restoration & gather a team of passionate volunteers. It’s incredible to see how God is already lining everything up in the beautiful way that only He can. We cannot wait to reach out to ladies in this part of the world where there is a very real need.

A GIANT LEAP!
 
She began with one small step - she reached out to us. With a painful history of sexual exploitation, addiction, relapses and a near overdose, she was on the brink of destruction. But then she cried out! This precious lady has now gone through a full restoration programme, studied and qualified as a home-based carer and recently got a lovely job at an elderly care home in an upmarket area. 
She is feeling so fulfilled and her new employer has been so impressed with her hard-working attitude. That is a giant leap forward for her, her future and her family.

CHERISHED EAST RAND
 
Visiting 12 venues and handing out 220 gifts with a special card & message, the team saw God moving in a beautiful way as walls started to crumble. Even in places where they’ve often found resistance or indifference, the message moved ladies so deeply. Their faces & attitudes changed and their hearts softened as they read the love letter from God to them. At one venue, ladies raced after them as they were leaving & asked for prayer. The team really felt that the words on the card will keep speaking to the ladies in the weeks to come, stirring hearts & changing situations,
CHERISHED JHB NORTH
 
The JHB team was warmly received in most of the 18 venues visited this past outreach, handing out 220 gifts in total along with the same precious message from God’s heart. Receptive and open, many ladies welcomed prayer for specific needs & shared their concerns. One lady who asked for prayer was so touched by the sweet presence of God even in her difficult situation. The team was also welcomed into a new venue and are excited to start connecting with new ladies.
CHERISHED STREETS
 
God always has a beautiful way of using interruptions & obstacles for His purposes. A thunderstorm chased ladies away from the new area the team ventured out to, so they returned to the previous area. They came across one lady who, after making great progress, returned to the streets & was very dejected and unwell. Father God is always after “the one”. He’ll leave the 99 to pursue her, and perhaps that is what the evening was all about - God being able to show her His unrelenting love. The team will keep prayerfully seeking new outreach areas.
