HILTON HEAD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY ATHLETICS
Spring Update  |  March 7, 2022

With the final sports season of the 21-22 school year now underway, the HHCA Eagles have already earned two state championships, three region championships and many notable titles. And while HHCA is known for proven success and winning records, we take greater pride in building student athletes of strong character and humility who find their value in Christ.

As we look ahead with excitement, we are grateful for impactful leaders who have helped cultivate the successful athletics program we have today.

Serving HHCA in various capacities since 1996, Athletic Director Kenny Conroy has certainly been one of those leaders. After this school year he will begin a new chapter in his current hometown of Savannah, GA. We are incredibly grateful for the mark he is leaving on HHCA athletics. The list of accolades and awards in his name is long; however, paramount to all of them are the lives he has impacted for Christ through leading, coaching, and mentoring as an HHCA Eagle.

Coach Jason Grunkemeyer has been named HHCA's new Athletic Director, effective June 1. Having spent 18 seasons in Division I collegiate athletics with experience in high school sports as well, Jason is highly and uniquely qualified to lead HHCA's outstanding athletic program.

Grunkemeyer joined HHCA in August 2021 as Director of Student Athlete and Coach Development and has quickly acclimated to the HHCA culture, building meaningful relationships and working closely with Coach Conroy and the athletics staff.

Read more about both of them below and be sure to save the date for an end-of-year HHCA Eagles Athletics Celebration on Thursday, May 19, 2022

In the meantime, we hope you will join us in gratitude for Coach Conroy by sending him a note here. If you have not yet met Coach Grunkemeyer, he would love to connect with you as well. You can email him here
