Hi First name / friends!

I'm thrilled to be sharing a really exciting opportunity with you this week! I'm officially opening up submissions for guest posts on the CatCoq blog

I've been listening to your feedback, and you all are loving the art tutorials that I share on the blog. One of my goals for this year is to make this resource library as robust as possible, so I'm opening it up to submissions from you! I'll still be creating tutorials myself, but I want to expand the tutorial library and bring in diverse creative perspectives!

I'm all about community over competition, and I think there is so much that we can all learn from each other. I want to help amplify your creative voice and share your knowledge with the rest of the CatCoq community. If you have an idea for a creative tutorial that you want to share, check out this page that has all of the information about how you can submit your article!

#CreateWithCatCoq - Add Metallics to an Illustration
This week's #CreateWithCatCoq challenge is all about metallics! Metallics are still on-trend and they're popular sellers on print on demand sites like Society6 and Redbubble. Plus, it's a fun way to elevate your artwork and give it a little extra shimmer!

Need some metallic textures to work with? I've got you covered! I have provided eight of my favorite metallic textures completely free, and you can download them here

Share your metallic illustrations on Instagram using the hashtag #CreateWithCatCoq. I share select submissions to my stories, so don't forget to use the hashtag and tag me @catcoq for a chance to be featured!

Check out Adam Palmeter's new Skillshare Class!
My friend and fellow Skillshare Top Teacher, Adam Palmeter just published a new class that's all about painting and relaxing using simple abstract brush strokes in acrylic paint. I helped him put this class together and it's one of my favorites of his so far. Simply put, I LOVE the tropical abstract painting style he teaches in his class.

Remarkable Relaxation: Easy Abstract Tropical Painting for an Art Staycation is packed with tips & tricks to help you create a stunning piece of abstract artwork while enjoying a little tropical "stay-cation" right at home!

Pro tip: stick around till the end to watch his bloopers reel after the final credits. I was crying laughing. 😅
