We have been very busy behind the scenes, securing a new space to safely hold in person classes for our community. I promise the big reveal is coming very soon, and we will be inviting all of you to come for an event to break in the new space.
Since this is not a shared town space, we will be able to hold much more programming, so we have been creating (a very long) list of ideas, but I would LOVE to hear from you!! Is there a class, program, learning experience, or community service you think we should be offering? Use the button below to tell us all about it! (Seriously, please do - we WANT to hear from you!)
We will be growing on a MUCH larger parcel of land this year. The space will be used for education purposes year - round. Classes will be held in the garden for East Granby Schools, Homeschoolers, summer camp, and families. All the food grown will be used in our classes as well as going to feed families in our community. There are many factors right now that are contributing to the perfect storm, creating a sharp rise in food insecurity. We have always worked towards food sovereignty, aiming to empower our community to grow, prepare, and share their own food supply.
Going from a small plot to a couple acres is a huge transition that creates a need for resources. These resources include financial, time, and items (Such as plants, tools, wood, soil, etc) If you would like to contribute to this project, please use the appropriate link below.  We appreciate ALL your support and for helping us spread the word!
Hello My Friend!

We are getting closer to our goals of safely coming together in person again VERY soon! As we plan for this joyous time, please share your thoughts in the button above as to what YOU would love to see us offer the community. When we dream together, worlds of possibility open up!

In the meantime, please take advantage of all that we offer online. There is so much to explore and learn, with more being added each week! Our April HomeFries Lunch Bunch April registration has opened (homeschool students age 7-13). The theme for April is the Art of Food. For all the creatives or wanna be creatives out there, this is the one for you! There are many other classes in the University as well. Note, there are ways to initiate conversation, ask questions, post pictures of your creations in each class. Please take advantage of that - how fun to get some conversations started and to connect through our food!

It is now mid-March. Many seeds have been started indoors and we are one step closer to being outside with our hands in the soil. This year there will be a whole lot more of soil to be playing in! As we make this transition, we hope that you will join us. This space is for YOU. Growing food is calming while the world feels out of control. It provides meaning and purpose for those looking to put some good back into the world. It is nourishing to ourselves, our families, and our community. And it heals the Earth for the damage we have done at the same time. Using the buttons above, please let us know how you would like to participate in this big project.

I hope you all have a peaceful weekend filled with memory making good moments.

With Love & Gratitude,

AnaAlicia

There is NO such thing as a donation that is too small. Every dollar is a reassurance that you believe in our mission and the work that we are doing. And every dollar goes right back into the community to empower young people, make healthy food more accessible, and create a more resilient community - physically and emotionally. Thank you for being a part of our family, we truly love each and every one of you!
