One of the biggest myths about professional seamless patterns is that they have to be created in Adobe Illustrator and that they must be a vector file. 99% of my seamless pattern designs are raster (pixel-based) images that I've digitized after creating them by hand, so it's safe to say that myth is busted! I absolutely love the charming imperfections and visible brushstrokes that you get with hand-drawn art, and I'm thrilled to get to share my technique for creating patterns out of hand-painted elements with you in this class. |
