Days like today transport me back to this magical day in the year 2007 where we were definitely in Spring (April, in fact), and yet it snowed, and covered the cherry blossoms lining the streets of my neighborhood in a beautiful powder.
I trekked down my long driveway to get to the street to see it in person. A magic that I have never witnessed since, although today is close. And I'm glad I have these lo-qual printed photos from the early days of digital cameras (not the best photos in the world, but at least I was still printing photos then) to prove it wasn't just a dream.
We're not quite in spring yet, as today's snow forcefully reminds us, but it's peeking around the corner. There are blossoms on some trees (although the cherry blossoms are still a little behind), and warmth in the air (on most days, not today), and I'm excited for the tulips and daffodils and park walks and peonies that will soon grace our world.
But for today, I'm indulging, and cozying, and enjoying. Because who knows when we will get another magical day like today's again.
