Happy Thursday First name / Lovely Reader,
 
And Happy St. Patty's Day! I have a wee bit of Irish in me from my Massie relatives on my mom's side. Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? I plan on making some Irish soda bread and a veg/cabbage soup. It's rainy today, so that's perfect! 
 
The shamrock cookies above look pretty tasty, don't they? I may be baking today, too. ☘️
 
 
My connection to the Irish has made writing the Book Magic books so much fun. One of the things I love most about writing this series is the research into Irish history. My newest project has an Irish character, as well. Capturing a slight Irish accent in my writing is challenging and fun to do.

The RamFam
Meet Sam
Meet Sam (he's on the right above). Sam is an audio engineer in Los Angeles. As he says in his Instagram profile, he's a: “Producer, keys player, mixer, overall decent guy." The photo above is from the Grammy's. He and his team did all the music for the movie Sing 2 All the piano/keys, including the gorilla's big solo, is Sam playing! They filmed his hands as he played to get the fingering correct in the animation. So. Cool. 
 
Along with his day job at a music studio in L.A., Sam freelances and plays his own music. Here is a link to all of his many songs on Spotify. Click to listen! His band, Local Strangers, has three new songs (Open Minded, De Ti, and I'd Do Anything). I don't think I'm biased when I say that his music is pretty amazing! He writes, composes, sings, and plays keys on all these songs. Shoulders is one of my favorites. As is Country Club. As is Small Explosions.
