With everything going on in the world I find that I feel really saddened by the things I see in humanity.  We have lost all compassion and empathy for our neighbors near and far.  We have lost compassion and empathy for ourselves.  Instead, we are becoming a race of entitlement and power.  People are falling further and further away from their true essence, LOVE.

More and more people are struggling with pain and illness because they are imprisoned by fear, hate, anger, depression, anxiety, and judgment. They trust blindly in our media and politicians and don’t question for themselves what is true.

Every soul on Earth is a being of light and love, but we have disconnected from our soul bodies, and it is time to reconnect with our soul essence and return to that state of love and empathy. What do I mean by empathy? Emotion researchers generally define empathy as the ability to sense other people's emotions, coupled with the ability to imagine what someone else might be thinking or feeling.

It is the second part of that definition that we are lacking.  People just assume and judge rather than imagining what another person may be going through or have gone through to be where they are.  When we see a homeless person people judge them as lazy and pathetic without knowing anything about them.

We have become a race of “everyone for themselves” meaning we know longer see our neighbors, especially when they are struggling.  People are showing signs of entitlement, which is defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as “1a: the state or condition of being entitled: right. b: a right to benefits specified especially by law or contract. 2: belief that one is deserving of or entitled to certain privileges.”

All human beings have the same rights and privileges.  We are all beings of light and need to return to that state before we destroy each other and our world.  Our souls are here to bring light and love to our planet and each other.  To help each other on our own personal journeys not judge people’s journeys.

I grew up in a time when neighbor’s knew each other and cared for each other.  We would check on our neighbors and ask if they needed anything.  We didn’t mind sharing our food or other goods with our neighbors for that is what people did for each other.

The question to ask yourself is how are you bringing love and light to the world?  Or are you participating in the hate and bullying?  With social media I see so much of cyber bullying, people posting photos or videos of humans or animals being abused or bullied and there is no compassion there, even in the comments you have people cheering these people on. It makes me sick inside that this is who we have become as a race.  At times, it has even caused me to lose my ability to forgive and I fall into a place of darkness and anger and then remember I need to forgive and love and pray. I need to stay connected to my soul essence.

Today, I choose to be a being of light, love, and empathy.  I will not fall into societal fear and bullying.  I will not judge because I do not have the right to judge.  I will ask my neighbor is there anything they need? I will stand up for injustices, especially when it comes to bullying other people or animals.  I will continue to let my light shine and practice the state of Ho’opononpono!

I will love without fear, I will forgive without expectation, and I will let my soul’s light shine as long as I breathe!
