Maria Prymachenko is one of Ukraine’s best-known artists known for her colorful and expressive style, which often incorporates fantastical animals, diverse Ukrainian people, food, and themes of war & peace.

The colours are hopeful and bright, in contrast to what is happening in her homeland. May we create and appreciate art when things are challenging…

Love this piece by Karen Trefzger on No Sidebar:

There must be 50 ways to leave your clutter.
Just put it in a sack, Jack,
Load it on a van, Stan,
Don’t need all those toys, Roy,
Oh listen to me.
Give it to Goodwill, Bill,
Sell it on eBay, May,
Recycle what you can, Fran,
And get yourself free.

Watch

The Man Who Planted Trees is a 1987 short film produced by the CBC. It's a beautifully animate short film narrated by the late Christopher Plummer and so inspiring at the point in time. I remember watching this in high school!

It makes me think about the Chinese proverb:  The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”

Shout out to Tad Hargrave @ Marketing For Hippies for mentioning it!

TODAY DO THIS is an organization committed to changing the world for the better by empowering people to do one small, simple thing a day to improve life at work, home, and beyond.

After signing up for their 'do-something-about-the-newsletter', they'll send you “a daily nudge toward making the world slightly better today than it was yesterday.” Brilliant. My recent prompt said, “Eat better: try meat-free Monday” which we are trying out…so far, so good.

WHAT WILL YOU DO TODAY?

Thanks for reading and til soon thrivers!
