Civic Center Conservancy
The Thirlby Company first partnered with the Civic Center Conservancy in the summer of 2020. Services have included leadership coaching, fundraising training, and facilitation of the Conservancy's first board and staff retreat.
Here are a few words from Eric Lazzari, executive director of The Conservancy:
Why did you decide to work with the Thirlby Co?
“Before hiring the Thirlby Company to work with the Civic Center Conservancy, I had a transformative experience working with Margie as a life coach. As I was settling into my new role as executive director, I knew I wanted Margie in my corner as both a leadership coach and a sounding board on building a thriving nonprofit. This March, we hired The Thirlby Company to lead a retreat to help align our board and staff as we work together to tackle significant opportunities.”
What outcomes have you achieved through our work together?
“As a result of working with Margie, I have become a much stronger and more confident leader. I know myself better, understand my strengths and gaps, and am ready to lead during a time of extreme challenge and opportunity. As an organization, board members have shared how helpful Margie's fundraising training was, and that the retreat was the best one they have ever been to. They walked away feeling inspired with an understanding of their unique talents, and energized to move our organization forward."
