IN HIS TLC
 
A lady in restoration who is diligently pursuing a new way of life, faced some unsavoury characters from her past. In an attempt to get them to leave her alone for good, she gave them her fridge and TV, saying it was better to lose material things, but have peace and security for her and her children. A few weeks prior to that, someone donated a fridge to Cherished and happened to be delivering the fridge that very next day.  It was supposed to be delivered to Pritchard Street in Randburg, but but the driver got the address
mixed up and landed up in Pritchard Street in town - around the corner from where this lady lived! On that day she received a fridge and a TV (donated by a team member), as well as toys for two of her children who were celebrating their birthdays that month (she couldn’t afford to get them gifts). It was so beautiful to see how God restored all that was taken from her and how He orchestrated every last detail of it, just to remind her that He loves her, He sees her and He is for her.

NEXT STEPS

Seeing ladies move through our restoration programme to reintegration and independent living is such a joy! This last month we celebrated with 3 ladies as they received employment in industries they’re passionate about. One lady has become an assistant chef in an upmarket restaurant, one is putting her admin skills to task as an office assistant and another is loving her people-centred work as a shop assistant and cashier. We are so proud of each of them!

CHERISHED EAST RAND
 
Cherished East Rand had a really special combined outreach with the new Middelburg team, visiting 12 venues and handing out 240 cupcakes. The two teams worked so beautifully side-by-side, with the East Rand team sharing their hearts for the ministry and cultivating the passion of the Middelburg team. There were many prayer and ministry moments, with the Holy Spirit’s sweet presence over it all.
CHERISHED JHB NORTH
 
The JHB North team did a double-outreach over this season, both being met with ladies who were welcoming, receptive and open to prayer. Visiting 16 venues and handing out 220 gifts on the first outreach opened up the way for the team to really connect with ladies in desperate situations. 230 delicious Easter biscuits along with a beautiful tract on salvation were handed out in 15 venues across Johannesburg during the second outreach, along with an invitation to come to church over the Easter weekend
