Hey!

What's the connection between exercise and course creation?

Exercise used to be the one activity to take the backseat. Even though, I wanted to be in shape and felt amazing during and after a workout.

The desire and the feelings were not enough to push me to take action.

However, they were enough to make me want to come up with solutions.

So, instead of trying to motivate myself to do the workout, I chose to eliminate as many excuses as possible. There were plenty of them running wild in my mind.

I realized that I needed to:
  • Pick the workout beforehand so that there was no extra time to talk myself out of it.
  • Make sure there was enough variety so that I would not get bored but not too much so that I could also feel like I was getting better and stronger.
  • Set a minimum time for the workout so that I could hit that every day and see everything else as a bonus. Made a promise to myself to exercise for at least 5 minutes every single day - which is achievable since I can do this while reading, cooking or listening to/watching something.
  • Release the belief that exercise must be done a certain way (in the morning, afternoon, before, after a meal, in workout clothes).
  • Reframe the way I was measuring results so that I could let go of the belief that it takes a long time to see results.

Equipped with all these actionable steps that made sense to me and eliminated most of the resistance, working out has become a fun part of my life.

The same principles apply to course creation.

For instance, it doesn't take long to create a course when you have the idea, you outline the course with ease, and have a structure that helps to organize the content.

And then, all the other principles play a role in how to craft irresistible action steps that are fun to implement.

Have an expansive time and I'll catch you in the next one!

Hugs,

Tini
