Dear First name / friend

‘Spring has sprung’ here in Fallbrook, Bonsall & Southern California.  We are enjoying warm temps, breeziness (especially in the afternoons), and cool evenings.

After my last newsletter, I hosted the “Feet, Ankles & Knees” Workshop at Sage Yoga, Bonsall.  As people left, I heard over and over ‘we never pay attention to our feet’.  I take that as a positive.
My next workshop will include hips and spine.  Yet to be scheduled, I'll keep you posted.

As I approach the 10-month mark (almost the one-year anniversary) of North County Yoga Therapy, I have to admit that I am very happy with my decision to open this office.  Currently, I have several individual yoga students plus a growing population of individuals who meet with me for Yoga Therapy.

My first session with many is a complimentary 30-minute ‘meet & greet’ – an opportunity to discuss and decide if I (and Yoga Therapy) are the right choice. More information on individual offerings can be found on my website.

MY  PUBLIC  CLASS  SCHEDULE:
Aligned Yoga
Mondays & Thursdays // 10:30-11:45am
Sage Yoga Fallbrook

Suitable for the student with a bit of experience, a desire to learn, and an appreciation for our potential.  Refine your alignment as flexibility, strength, and agility increase.  (Taught in the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga style.)

on my end table:
Breath by James Nestor.  For the third time I am reading this book.  Each time I learn and absorb more about the benefits of nasal breathing, as well as breathing less and breathing more slowly.  Highly recommend.  In fact, I have purchased a couple extra copies just in case a friend (you?) would like to avoid the 8-week wait at the library.

The Gown by Jennifer Robson. Another historical fiction revolving around the creation of Queen Elizabeth's wedding gown.

And, in a holding pattern:  The Ethics of Oneness.  Sometimes you just need to know when to fold ’em.  It's still on the end table, but relegated to the second shelf. It's me, it's not the book.

FOR MORE LIGHT READING:
  1. Silver Sneakers has had some good articles lately.  This one on strengthening hips is a keeper for us in the ‘more mature’ population.
  2. Cup of Jo newsletter — lots of interesting and fun articles and links.
  3. And, don't forget my recent blog post is available for reading.

Until next time,
Leslie
