APRIL NEWSLETTER

Dear Camp People,
One of the greatest resources at Crossways is the multitude of volunteers who make camp happen. Most of the time, they do their work quietly behind the scenes, asking for nothing, except maybe a good camp lunch. But without the passion, dedication, and time of all our volunteers, we'd struggle to get everything done. We couldn't possible share all the stories, so we picked just a few to highlight the variety of ways our Camp People make sure camp is amazing for everyone who comes.

Join us in thanking all the countless volunteers who give their time and energy!

Family Projects
The Loos family includes a service project as part of their annual family retreat. This year they stuffed 3,000 envelopes for our spring mailing! They turned it into a competitve game and wouldn't slow down even to pose for pictures. If you got an Impact Report in the mail this spring, it was thanks to these hardworking volunteers!

Thrivent Action Teams
Pairing the generosity of Thrivent Action Teams and the power of volunteers, Pine Lake Camp upgraded to LED lightbulbs. The switch to brighten up camp with over 100 lightbulbs will have noticeable energy savings. If you're a Thrivent member, we'd love to talk with you about how you could partner with us on future projects!

Individual Volunteers
As spring warms up, we'll be looking for volunteers to prep the garden at Waypost. You can come as a group or by yourslef when your schedule permits. Your work in advance of camp means campers have a chance to engage in a garden, already in progress!

Most kids struggle to figure out how faith matters in their daily lives, so we give them a place to explore their Christianity and put it into practice. When kids know how to apply their faith to their day-to-day lives, they develop lasting confidence in their beliefs

With youth camp and family camp, full week and half-week sessions, there's a perfect fit for you! Visit us online to learn more or to sign up!

Scholarships Available
We still have over $15,000 in camp scholarships available for campers this summer. It does us no good to have this money in the bank – we'd rather have kids at camp! There are enough obstacles in our life, money shouldn't be one of them. If you know a youth or family camper who could use a little support, please encourage them to sign up for camp. We can probably help make it happen!

Now hiring summer staff
Our first staff will arrive at camp on May 23 for training. We'd love to round out our team with a few more people, especially during our busiest weeks. If you have a week or two to fill this summer, we'd love to chat!

At Crossways, we love Camp People -- the donors, advocates, and supporters who make this mission possible. Because of you, we are bringing people together in Christ, so that lives are changed and communities enhanced
