THE WEEKLY GOOSE

NO: 063|  04.27.2022
Howdy!

Did you know? Hawaiian pizza was actually invented by an Ontario man, not by the Hawaiians. It comes from Chatham, Ontario, and dates back to 1962. This is one of our favourite pizzas. You?

But without further ado, enjoy the 63rd edition of The Weekly Goose, which features a video about Saskatchewan, a travel guide to the best restaurants in Canmore, facts about Ontario, and more!

BEAVER BITES

  • Renewing your passport? You might be put on hold. After all, Service Canada is currently getting 200,000 calls per day from people wanting a new passport or renewing an old one. I guess people are eager to travel all of a sudden.

  • Did you know the flagship Hudson’s Bay store is in Winnipeg? Well it is. Or I mean, it was. HBC is actually gifting its flagship store in Winnipeg to a First Nations group, who will turn it into a centre including, among other things, affordable housing units, a museum, and an art gallery. Cool, huh?

  • Speaking of Winnipeg, Manitoba actually has more Cannabis stores than Tim Horton's now. Perhaps Tim picked the wrong business after all. There are 154 cannabis stores in Manitoba and only 100 Tims locations to get your caffeine fix.
