The Weekly Roundup

Happy Friday Everyone!

We have arrived to the end of another week, and what a busy week it has been here in the Glam Budget Beauty office! Besides getting blog posts published and writing this newsletter, I have also been thinking about changing things up with Glam Budget Beauty with a possible name change, expanding my blog content to include home and lifestyle besides my current content of beauty, health and fashion. I would also like to start creating and presenting content on IG stories (and maybe reels), but first I have to build up my confidence and courage to show myself on Instagram on a more consistent basis. Some say, “just do it, it doesn't matter how you look or if you mess up, just do it," and I do it and then I stop for weeks or months, so I am working to overcome these issues I have within myself so I can bring my content to Instagram! So, if any of you create content on Instagram consistently, please click the “REPLY TO ME” button below and send me your tips on how you got started on IG, how you stay consistent on IG and how you keep your content fresh and exciting. I would greatly appreciate any tips, tricks and insight you would like to share with me!

That's all I have for you this week! Now, let's move on to the rest of this week's roundup!

Here's What I Have Been Loving This Week:

Mainstays Single Serve BlenderThis blender was my best purchase so far this year! For the last year or so, I have been dragging out my big Black + Decker blender everyday to make my daily protein smoothie or iced protein coffee. Finally, (after getting tired of using and cleaning my big blender), I decided to buy a small basic personal blender (I wasn't looking for anything fancy) that's easy to use and easy to clean and this blender checks all of the boxes and I found it at Walmart! There are only 4 pieces: blender, 16 oz. jar (contains no BPA), stainless steel blade and travel lid. It has 220 watts of power that mixes up smoothies, shakes or sauces fast and cleanup is easy because the jar and travel lid are dishwasher safe! So, if you are in the market for a basic, no bells and whistles personal blender, I highly recommend this one! ($12.88)

This Week's Failures

Here's What I Have NOT Been Loving This Week:

Dial Marula Oil Nourishing Body Wash - This body wash was not a total fail for me. This nourishes while cleansing my skin, rinses off nicely without leaving any residue behind and I love the fragrance, but it isn't moisturizing enough for my dry skin. I will give this another try later on during the summer when my skin doesn't need all the moisture it can get thanks to the humid months of July and August. ($3.98, 21 oz.)

I need some fun in the sun! The picture about is me with Ziva the Diva on mama's temporary bed before she got her new one. Aren't we cute? Anyway, I hope you all had a great week, like I did! This week I have another healthy dog treat recipe that is so good and easy to make! Here's the recipe:

This Week's Recipe
Unstuffed Bell Pepper Skillet

UNSTUFFED BELL PEPPER SKILLET

This Unstuffed Bell Pepper Skillet recipe has all the traditional ingredients for stuffed peppers, but no stuffing peppers required. This dish cooks in one skillet, takes about 30 minutes from start to finish and easy cleanup too, plus this dish provides 2 servings of veggies and is an excellent source of vitamin C. Here’s how to make it:

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 lb. Italian-Style Turkey Sausage (casings removed)
  • 2 Large Assorted Bell Peppers (green, red, yellow, orange, cut into 1 ½ inch pieces. About 4 cups)
  • 1 Extra Large Onion, Diced (about 1 ½ cups)
  • 1 10 ¾ oz. Can Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 1 8.8 oz. Package Ready-to-Heat Microwavable Brown Rice (about 2 cups cooked rice)
  • ½ Cup Shredded Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
DIRECTIONS:
  1. In a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.
  2. Add the peppers and onion to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in the soup and rice and cook until hot. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Top with the cheese.
  4. Cover and let stand until cheese melts.
Prep Time: 10 min Total Time: 30 min Serves: 5 Calories: 300 per serving

I am so grateful for each and every one of you! Without you all, Glam Budget Beauty would not exist, so thank you for being here and…
Until next week, have a happy, healthy and beautiful weekend!
