Hello, friends!!
I've been busy working on some very spring-y projects that I wanted to share with you, including two tutorials – one new, and one old – to inspire your spring sewing! Plus! I wanted to remind you that the Rose Print Launch Sale is about to end - you have until end of day tomorrow (April 30) to use the code ROSE20 to save 20% off the print Rose pattern, plus get $2 shipping on all print pattern orders. Here's what else I've been up to… |

I made a Trillium Dress and two Geranium Dresses to help Anna Maria Horner introduce her new line of cotton lawns, Vivacious (shipping this summer), and really enjoyed sewing with these lightweight fabrics in candy colors. I sewed the facings on the outside of the dress, and added a sleeve to Trillium (using the FREE sleeve pattern piece). I wrote more details about the dress on my blog. |
|
The green Geranium Dress is the “Little Geranium” - a free pattern on my website that lets you try out my Geranium pattern for kids in the newborn size. You can download the pattern and instructions from my blog for free! |

tutorial: add a cuff to Trillium sleeve |

To finish the sleeve, I gathered it and added a cuff. I wrote a tutorial showing how to add the cuff on my blog if you want to try it out: |

tutorial: spring ruffle top |

Does anyone remember being on the internet in 2009? If so, you might remember this old-but-good tutorial I wrote for Sew Mama Sew (now gone). I've just reposted it to my blog - we've had many emails over the years asking where this one went…it's back now! |
|
This spring top is perfect for layering under cardigans in cool spring weather and can be worn right into summer. Choose two contrasting fabrics and create a garment that can be tailored to any size. I recommend flow-y fabrics for best results. |
|
Tomorrow is the last day to buy Rose in print for 20% off! Use code ROSE20 at checkout when you buy the print pattern in my shop. (offer ends April 30 at midnight Eastern time zone) |
|
Have a delightful weekend! xo, Rae |
