Hey First name / friends! This email is dedicated to the artists who have ever stared at a blank canvas and wondered what to draw next (...ahem…all of us 🙋♀️). Creative blocks are totally normal, but they’re not always fun! I know how it feels to have a staredown with a blank canvas, so today I wanted to share some of my top tips for getting un-stuck. In this week’s blog post I share six tips for figuring out what to draw next. Whether you have no clue what to draw, or have a motif in mind but aren’t sure how to get started, this blog post will help you out. |

#CreateWithCatCoq - Tropical Motif |
One of my favorite ways to gather inspiration when I’m in a creative rut is to pull from my own life. Usually, this inspiration comes from my travels. For example, this fan palm design was inspired by a hiking trip in the lush mountains of Vietnam and now, it’s sold in Target stores as bedding! |
In my digital nomad life, I’m surrounded by lush, tropical greenery so naturally, this has turned into a portfolio full of tropical motifs. This week’s #CreateWithCatCoq challenge is to draw something tropical! This can be anything you want - palm trees, flamingos, jungle animals, or greenery - the sky is the limit! Use the tips in this blog post as a guide and choose what kind of tropical motif you want to paint! Then share your work on Instagram with the hashtag #CreateWithCatCoq. |
