First name / Friend,
In my last email to you I promised to take you along for the ride of running myself through my own new program, designed to support women leader leave burnout, stress and lack of inspiration behind and step into an embodiment of impact and ease. Which leads my right into the first update: I found a name for the program. It might seem minute but this is something I get constantly hung up about. This time, I just sat back and trusted that a name would come in due time. And so it did!
So the last two weeks I was pretty focused on checking in with my values (that kind of stuff can change, just like us, so it's super important to check in with yourself once in a while) and to take a close, hard look at where I wasn't really taking action in line with my values.
Without touting my own horn too much, I absolutely loved that section. My core values hadn't really changed all that much, although I felt much more strongly about some of them then the last time I checked in, which honestly felt great (check them out
here).
In terms of aligned action, I realized that I'm currently not taking as much unapologetic time for my well-being as my values would actually suggest. To be honest, I'm currently sharing a house with three people who are employed and I've felt that 9-to-5 mindset rub off on me. For me, that showed up as not putting as much time as I would like to in my mindset and well-being routines, feeling guilty when I didn't sit behind my laptop in the middle of the day or feeling uncomfortable paying money for a desk one day a week in a co-working space with inspiring people.
Nothing new in these mindsets, and by now I spot these traps pretty early on, but focusing on my values was a good reminder to confront myself. Deep down, I know that embodying my core values more unapologetically is the key to creating the impact I desire. And it's time this comes back to the surface (keep your eyes peeled for the next update, all about routines and habits!).
I also focused heavily on my values when redesigning my services these last two weeks: Instead of sticking with the free discovery calls that pretty much everyone in the industry does and that never really worked for me (when people actually got on a call with me, they already knew they wanted to work with me), I scraped them and designed a whole new process that covers both people who want a deep-dive single session and people who want to commit to a long-term container. Now that it's all implemented, it feels super aligned with my values of autonomy and meaningful work.
