“So much time and so little to do. Wait a minute. Strike that. Reverse it.” —Willy Wonka

Medjool dates are known as the “king of fruits and the fruit of kings” — but it’s 2022 so we’re changing that to the “fruit of queens and any darn person who wants them.” Just ask my clean-eating pal Nicole Berrie, who raves about Rancho Meladuco’s sun-ripened California dates. She’s dropping her first book next week, Body Harmony: Nourishing, Plant-Based Recipes for Intuitive Eating, and she knows her stuff.

P.S. Here’s a cute interview Nicole did with me back in 2014 on her blog.

Step aside, Wordle, Quordle, and Global — my latest go-to online game is The New Yorker’s Name Drop. You get six clues and 100 seconds to guess the cultural icon, and the goal is to use as few guesses as possible to nab the right answer. Bonus: The end of the quiz links to New Yorker articles about the subject, and they’re always an excellent read.

I am currently 😍 with Delicacies Jewelry’s entire collection of food-themed wearables. I’m talking empanada earrings, 🍩 rings, and penne necklaces — you can even “shop by ingredient.” The best part is that the company donates 10 percent of all proceeds to organizations providing meals to the underserved.

The Dumpling collection includes pierogis, and for every piece sold Delicacies is donating $5 to $10 to World Central Kitchen, which is fighting hunger along the Ukrainian-Polish border and neighboring countries. Looking cute never felt so good.

Oh, welcome to the world Jones Road’s newest product, What the Foundation — aka WTF, which is what I exclaim every time I apply this superlight, tinted moisturizer that gives me a natural, sparkly glow.

It’s almost beach-read season, and this summer I’m torn between Tina Brown’s juicy royal family tell-all and Amy Odell’s Anna Wintour biography, a tale of ruthless assent in media. As a royalist, I’m intrigued by The Palace Papers, but I’m also fascinated by the absolutely random details of Wintour’s life, like the one noted in this Page Six story about her typical lunch order.

Is a caprese salad still a salad without the tomatoes? We’ll never know.
