First name / friend,
Sometimes, it IS about the numbers.
I talk a lot about not obsessing over your Instagram likes and follows, and instead focusing on consistency and providing value to potential clients.
But, when it comes to measuring whether or not you are investing you time and energy into the right places, numbers DO matter.
They matter when you are trying to decide between Facebook ads or an online vendor listing. They matter when you are looking to raise your prices. They matter when you narrow the focus of your offerings.
When you hit a milestone like this one, it can lead you to reflect on what it took to make it to this point. There are so many tactics and practical tips I have for creating and maintaining a podcast
that I share all about on this week's episode.
But, even if you never plan to make one yourself, the biggest lesson I've learned after 100 episodes applies to all of us:
Be consistent.
Did I ever miss a week? Yep! Did I sometimes feel like I had nothing to say? Absolutely! But, how did I get to 100 episodes?
I kept showing up.
I didn't wake up and just know that I was officially a "podcaster" now. I showed up every week and learned by trial and error and by having a lot of fun!
Do you want my top advice for how to start a podcast?
Just go out and DO IT.
You can't wait for someone to tell you that you are something you are trying to be. Go ahead and act like you are that person already, and eventually you'll become it.
When I think of the community that this podcast has built, I'm filled to the brim with all the feels about how much you mean to me.
