HELLO FROM THE HARLOW Hello Harlow members and community, I hope this note finds you and your families healthy and enjoying the beautiful, early summer weather! I am still relishing in the delight of our reception for the juried show, the sunshine, and the great tunes we all enjoyed! The Harlow invites artist members to submit up to FIVE pieces of art to our upcoming member's show -- 'Everything, Everywhere!' We want to cover the gallery walls with with art from our wonderful members! There is no theme, we are simply celebrating art-making in abundance! The Summer Members Show will be on view between July 29 + September 3. This opportunity is open to current members of the Harlow / Kennebec Valley Art Association only. If you'd like to become a member, you can purchase a membership online here. |

OPEN CREATE Join us on Thursday, June 2, at 6p for ‘Open Create!’ Come create with fellow artists! Bring your own art supplies and any project you'd like to work on; the Harlow will provide music, space, and a supportive atmosphere! All adult artists, regardless of skill level, are welcome. This group is free + open to the public. |

TUESDAY MORNING PAINTING Our Tuesday morning painting group is accepting new members! If you're interested in joining a small group at the Harlow on Tuesday mornings to paint, please send an email to group leader Penny Markley, pmarkley@fairpoint.net. The group runs 9a to 12p. To participate, the cost is $5 per session. |

SPINDLEWORKS ARTIST TARAH CRAM Tarah Cram is a multi-faceted artist : she's a writer, a painter, and, newly, a potter! You can often find Tarah writing stories about princesses + magical places, or making very colorful art (sometimes with glitter!). At home, Tarah has two cats that she loves. You can also find many cats in Tarah's artwork; check out Tarah's ‘Happy Cat’ t-shirt below! (You can buy one for yourself here!) |

Spindleworks Offsite is a program for individuals with intellectual disabilities that reaches beyond the confines of a traditional studio and works directly in the community. At the Harlow, Spindleworks Offsite provides art programming that advocates for inclusion and fluidity between disability and non-disability settings. |
