On Making Flowers

Hello again friends. <3
I'm here, still typing. Still drawing, sometimes, or more mentally than anything. Always creating though. And today, I just wanted to pop in and share some flowers that I've been playing with lately.

I've secretly been trying to become a florist. Did you know? Or could you have guessed? I found a flower wholesaler about 15 minutes from my house, and I've done so many fun things with flowers over the last six months- flowers for my wedding, flower wreaths for the studio, flowers for my reception (including about 75 live flower crowns made with lots of helping hands), flowers for a friends' elopement, and most recently Flowers Fer Yer Flowers, Mother's Day bouquets that gave back to two organizations that need our attention right now - Planned Parenthood and the DC Abortion Fund.

I could wax on about the abortion issue, but honestly- I'm tired, and pregnant, and everything about pregnancy is scary and tiring and emotionally exhausting for me at least, so let's not talk about this issue and say we did and get back to the main point- that flowers are the way into all hearts and minds, and what I'd love to fill my days with more.

So if you're looking for flowers - a table arrangement for a little dinner party, a bouquet for a courthouse wedding, 100 flower crowns for a garden party, hmu, I'm here for you. <3
