As I said, never dull in 2022. So what the f*** is happening with Documenta? I have been staring at this text for over a minute now and still can't figure out what it says. Crisis PR mode is even more impenetrable than regular art PRs. Documenta had to cancel the We need to Talk! pannel because no one wanted to touch this hot potato all-you-can-eat discrimination buffet with a ten-foot pole. We Need To Talk! - Nevermind. 

Documenta will open on June 16th as scheduled.

Opening 02. June. 6 pm at einbuchhaus: Micro Books - Gumball Universe
Nina Prader (Lady Liberty Press) and Malte Spindler (Lucky Punch Press) present new micro book editions from the series Gumball Universe at einBuch.haus.

Contributing artists are: Tine Fetz, Sophia Hirsch, Katharina Kamp, Johannes Mundinger, Esther Samuels-Davis, Claudia de la Torre

Red Gumball machines are the basis of the interactive group exhibition Micro Books — Gumball Universe. The gumball machines become micro museums and book dispensers. The capsules do not distribute gum but the smallest books in the universe.

The photographic and cinematic sketches in the omprehensive work of Maslowski/Grenzhaeuser are based on fictional stories in which they are always the protagonists. Maslowski/Grenzhaeuser has been an artist duo since 1993. In the course of their collaboration, a comprehensive work of fictional stories has emerged in which they are always the protagonists. Their photographic and cinematic sketches are inspired by very different social spheres, cultures and genres.

Opening performance from 6pm Human Polygraph by Johanna Ackva

After two years, Display comes back in its cherished former space, hosted now by the project space Fraeym, for the time of the exhibition "Darling You Should Feel Lucky" by Christina Huber. The exhibition will open June 4, with the intervention "Human Polygraph" by the dancer and choreographer Johanna Ackva and close June 11 with "Sandbox", performance by Nina Wesemann and Emeka Ene. The performances are part of the exhibition and intend to foster the discursive and choreorgraphic qualities of the exhibition.

The twelve artists explore how certain lives—human and nonhuman—are designated as alien, and the possibilities of forging relationships across the yawning chasm of self and other.

 Based on the worldwide correspondence of the renowned architect Helene Syrkus (1900-1982), the artist couple Maja Wirkus and Eric Pries develops installative-scenic units, i.e. moments of exchange translated into images and spatial structures, whereby the artistic medium is always photography and its extensions. To this end, a series of animated films, objects, photographs and text fare superimposed as constantly overwriting, constantly renewing knowledge spaces.
