If you are interested in constitutions, you should be reading about the Caribbean. Today it is the world's most understudied region and also its most fascinating. From constitutional reform to judicial interpretation to decolonization, there is so much happening. Yet too few scholars are writing about any of it. I encourage you to take a moment to learn about the region, beginning withthis thought-provoking judgment from the Caribbean Court of Justice. It involves interesting questions about judicial independence, the separation of powers, and the relationship between “Modification Clauses” and “Savings Clauses.” The judgment is authored by the Hon. Mr. Justice Adrian Saunders, President of the Court.
