Hey!
Did you know? The Canadian Pacific Railway was built more than 135 years ago and stretches 5,000 kilometres across Canada. The most challenging route is through the Rockies – where inclement weather, changing seasons, and mechanical defects can cause significant delays.
In fact, one of the coolest things we experienced while riding the Rocky Mountaineer through the Rockies was going through the Spirals Tunnels, an engineering marvel that helps the train gain elevation without such a dangerous grade. Very cool!
We're actually still in the mountains, travelling through the Kootenays to produce a 3-part video series. Stay tuned!
But without further ado, enjoy the 69th edition of The Weekly Goose, which features a video about Canada's most luxurious train, a travel guide to Banff, a Parks Canada giveaway, and more!
