An open letter to the exhausted CEO:
Hey First name / there,
I hope you know you're seen - and not just seen but valued.
You're doing something that's not easy. You're creating a brand, building a legacy, you're laying the foundation for your future, you're creating a path your family never built, you're providing for your home, you're showing up for your community, you're doing the hard fucking work.
And I see you.
I know it's exhausting because the work never stops. You wear all the hats – the marketer, and the CEO, the social media manager, the boss, the creative, the customer success executive, the support, the doer, the executor.
Can I take a guess and say that you're a little overwhelmed sometimes? Because I know I am. That list up there, it never ends. And it doesn't even include the partner, and the parent, and the daughter, and the friend. The list of business tasks and functions doesn't begin to scratch the surface of every difficulty and responsibility you have to carry day to day.
But you know what's absolutely wild? You're doing both. You're building a business and building your life - in fact, you're building the business so you can live your life. You choose to be on 24/7 and sometimes sacrifice your sanity to have control of your time and freedom
You choose to show up on your terms and create a business that brings something special to the world, sharing your unique gifts and talents for others to benefit from.
You choose to spit in the face of standards - paving your own way.
And in case no one else has told you recently, I'm proud of you. For every moment of doubt you've had or fear or uncertainty for the future, I want you to know that I believe in you. I believe you have what it takes to fulfill your dreams and find success in a way that's true to you.
I believe you are capable of the world.
You are capable of making shit tons of money, being your own boss, and creating one hell of a life.
The next time you're feeling drained, or burnt out, or unsure of what you were meant to do, I want you to look in the mirror and remind yourself that you are exactly where you're supposed to be.
