Hey First name / there, as I mentioned in my last email…
We don’t have to go at this alone. Nor should we.
As a small service-based business owner, I constantly find myself craving community.
I’ve found that when you’re working from home, it can sometimes feel like it’s you against the world! The to-do list of my full-time job, personal businesses, and life is seemingly never ending. Even when it’s all things I actually want to do, it is often overwhelming and isolating.
What I’ve also found is that community is the salve for some of these anxieties. Meeting people, learning from their experiences, and swapping stories provide a foundation for collaboration, feedback, and mutual benefit.
Some of the benefits I’ve found from my networking pursuits:
- Clarity around decision-making by hearing from other folks who have “been there, done that.”
- Access to opportunities, collaborations, and partnerships I didn’t even know existed.
- Fresh ideas and perspectives from learning something new like book and podcast recommendations or feedback on my own ideas.
- Support from others who understand me, care about me, and who I understand and care about in return.
I hope you’ll snag 30m on my calendar so we can catch up virtually over the beverages of our choice. I’ve been on a big iced tea kick lately, I’m sure due to the muggy Baltimore summer.
