Festival of Voices is coming to the Mill on Saturday 9th July.

 

World-class Tibetan artist, composer, activist, musical director, cultural ambassador. 

 

We're hosting good music, good food and good vibes in our new Sawtooth Shed from 6pm. Enjoy the likes of 12-piece Afrobeat/Indofunk band Baba Bruja, chief songwriter of pub-rock icons Weddings, Parties Anything Mick Thomas, Melbourne based singer, songwriter and guitarist Brooke Taylor. Plus the East Coast's own Maria Voices.

Beaker Street are tying their annual science and art fest together with a weekend of dark sky antics at Spring Bay Mill. This coming August 12th and 13th.

 

We'll wine and dine you three courses by candle-light, while local scientists Professor Philip Boyd and Professor Catriona Hurd indulge you on protecting the marine ecosystems of Tassie's East Coast.

Featuring stargazing and telescopes with the Astronomical Society of Tasmania, Dark Sky talks, live music, delicious East Coast produce and immersive artworks. Plus a very special feature performance by BighART. Uplifting, powerful and media rich, BighART is written and performed by musos Jay Jarome, Sabine Bester, an ensemble of First Nations vocalists and some of Tasmania’s finest contemporary musicians.

Chris Bell has won awards for his cooking all his life. He even ran his own school in Singapore, masterclasses in Sydney and was sous chef at Tassie fine dining restauraunt Smolt. But we won't go on about his achievements here. We think you should come meet him at ours - we're having him for dinner. Or rather, we're having him cook for people who are coming over for dinner - two nights in a row.
