Wedding Season Gift Ideas

Wedding season is in full swing.  And I love weddings—everything about them from the flowers to the decorations to the food to the dress.
I remember my autumn wedding a “few” years ago.  It was such a special time in our lives.  Steve and I were excited about our journey together, and it was a delight to plan the Big Day with my mother.  Of course, my memory is probably more sentimental than realistic.  Planning a wedding can be stressful, and my own wedding was probably just as demanding…but magically every detail came together and it was a very lovely day
Another thing I love about weddings are the parties and events before the actual ceremony.  One of my favorite parties is the “Stock the Bar” party. They are quite popular and for good reason. Aren’t familiar with this type of soiree? Everyone brings the new couple (or new homeowner) a bottle of their favorite libation, barware, or cocktail essentials to, quite literally, stock their bar and get them all set up to host their own celebrations.

If you want to add a curious twist, just browse In the Curious Kitchen website for ideas. The Old Fashioned Cocktail Kit is a perfect choice. It has everything you need to make a few hand-crafted drinks from the cocktail glasses and linen napkins to the bamboo skewers and the sugar cubes. There’s even some appetizer recipe cards and a cocktail party playlist.  Another good choice would be the Pantry Pack that includes all of the In the Curious Kitchen bar items and condiments—Orange and Cherry Bitters, Boozy Bourbon Cherries, and Bourbon Honey Mustard.  All of our products and handcrafted and Kentucky made—to show off the Commonwealth’s sassy and spirited heritage. By the way, our Boozy Cherries were recently featured in Bon Apetite as a premier choice for cocktail cherries.

For the groom who is struggling to find that perfect groomsmen gift, look no further.  These special gifts can be hard to choose.  It’s difficult to select something that works for all the groomsmen. Also, if they have been in a few weddings before chances are they have already received the traditional bottle openers, engraved cufflinks, or silver flasks.  Think outside the box—or in it.  Get creative. Keep it lighthearted and fun—and something they will use and appreciate.

The cocktail kits would be the perfect choice. Or pair up a selection of bitters and Boozy Cherries with a big bottle of Kentucky Bourbon to create a bourbon basket of goodies. A nice cheese board coupled with the Party Pantry Pack is another idea, or The Old Fashioned Candle paired with a nice monogrammed robe would be a hit—and it might even make those bridesmaids a little envious!
You really cannot go wrong with any of these choices, and I know they will appreciate the curious twist on these traditional gifts. Cheers!
