But, oh, those summer nights |

Heath Ceramics has been making gorgeous pottery in California since 1948. I’m crazy about its little vases (yes! that’s mine) and have scored some platters from its collab with chef Alice Waters. The company calls its dazzling summer seasonal collection Sunlight and Shadows because the season is “a chance to bask in the sunlight and rest in its shadows.” ☀️ |

I certainly like my collections. Books, DVDs, CDs (yes, you read that correctly) — you name it, I probably collect it. Just don’t call me a hoarder. The rub is: How best to organize all my things? These recycled, collapsible, and stackable crates from the English brand Hay to the rescue. Wait until you see all of the colors. |

Am I the only person who missed this viral wedding dance video, which has been viewed TWENTY-FOUR MILLION times? It’s 12 minutes of pure joy. (Don’t miss the choreo to Diddy’s “I’ll Be Missing You” at 7:17 — phenomenal.) The dancers are a professional Pakistani Norwegian group called Quick Step. While I’ve never seen a “shadi” dance IRL, this article delves into why these videos have widespread appeal and some of the whitewashing to watch out for. Worth a read! |

Although I am sweets lover, I’m not as obsessed with baked goods as the other people in my house. That changed the moment I ripped into Breads Bakery’s babka. Now you can get three loaves delivered anywhere in the U.S. Careful when you are gobbling because there are some big, delicious chunks of chocolate hiding in the layers of bread. Biggest congrats to Breads Bakery, which won NYC’s best baguette earlier this month. As a judge, I can assure you it is excellent. |

As a longtime resident of downtown Manhattan, I was thrilled when the legendary Tribeca Citizen asked me for an interview. I dish about the fabulous hidden alleys, my go-to salad, our UPS man’s YouTube channel, and all the hidden neighborhood treasures. Cheers. |
