Flathead Lakers
This month, The Thirlby Company is thrilled to recognize The Flathead Lakers - our very first client! The Flathead Lakers has been protecting clean water, healthy ecosystems, and a lasting quality of life in the Flathead Watershed (Western Montana) since 1958. We are proud to support their mission.
Here are a few words from their executive director, Kate Sheridan:
Why did you decide to work with the Thirlby Company?
“The Lakers first hired Margie to facilitate their executive director search in 2019, before she opened her own business. I actually got to meet Margie in my final round of interviews. I felt an immediate connection with her and found her nonprofit leadership experience so inspiring that I asked her if she could support me in my new role if I was hired. Little did I know this would lead to three years of partnership with The Thirlby Company, including executive coaching, board and staff retreats, fundraising training, annual planning, and management consulting."
What outcomes have you achieved through our work together?
“Margie has facilitated our staff and board retreat each year, and helped us work towards building a stronger staff and board culture within our organization. As the executive director and face of the organization, she has helped me build confidence in my role, assisted me in good decision-making, and supported our outreach efforts - all of which have paid off in increased revenue, visibility, and engagement from our community.”
