Hello friends of the Kansas Forest Service!
My name is Ariel and at the end of May I joined KFS as their Communications Coordinator. I wanted to share a bit about myself with all of you and also learn more about how you have utilized KFS and what communications you would like to see from us moving forward.
I graduated from K-State in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Horticulture and am currently pursuing my master's degree in Agricultural Communications and Education also from K-State. I have a background in production greenhouses and worked most recently as the Horticulture Extension Agent in Shawnee County.
Although I bleed purple, I do live in Lawrence with my husband Jake and our two dogs: Bindi the Pitbull shepherd mix and Ted the chocolate lab. I love to read, or more accurately, collect books I intend to read, and every room of my house has more houseplants than most people's entire homes!
In the last month I have been working to get to know KFS staff (they are awesome!) and the programs they support. Now, I would like to learn more about our clients—all of you! I would love to know what information and types of content you would like to see from the Kansas Forest Service.
Please take a few minutes to share your ideas about the format and subjects you would like to see from KFS. Podcasts, videos, e-newsletters, or articles—the sky is the limit! Hit the “provide feedback” button below to share your thoughts.
