Naidoc Week is almost over, Sunday 10th July is the last day and I'm feeling a little sad, its been a blast, thank you to everyone who has celebrated with us so far, if your still needing some ideas or are yet to celebrate with us then click on this link or read more below…During Naidoc Week I decided that it was great time to release our pre-sell on our latest “Flower Medicine” Book Set, Mirree has been developing this “Flower Medicine” set over the years for some-time now and it was brought to her attention that native and botanical plants within Australia are under-threat, now more than ever due to climate change. According to the Threatened Plant Index of Australia: 2020 there is over 1300 threatened plants species in Australia. Out of this number over 1100 are native Australian plants. For example Banksias and Tea Trees are some of the most rare and threatened species of Australian Wild Flowers and Plant Life that are on the verge of extinction. Tree and Land Clearing, Tree Disease, Urbanisation and the Changing Climate are threatening their habitat and way of existence and now they need our help. Once this happens they can never return, it is sad to think about but there is something we can do to help protect them. The Flower Medicine Books will contain research that Mirree has done over the years about these Flower Medicine Plants, 5% from every “Flower Medicine” Book will be donated to research about the Flowers.
Also the book will contain a personal true story that happened to Mirree when she was just a child that she remembered whilst conducting the research for the “Flower Medicine” books when a miracle occurred. We cannot reveal too much because we don’t want to ruin the surprise.
