Don’t sweat it, this is a cool spot.
Sick of bad news? Fret no more! Nice News to the rescue. I look forward to this daily email full of lovely stories, anecdotes, and a sprinkle of pop culture.

Once I am finished (and before I begin Wordle), I pop over to my Interesting Facts email, which always makes my day richer. How else would I have learned that Salvador Dalí designed the Chupa Chups logo and that goats have rectangular pupils?

Barbara Iweins, a photographer and artist from Brussels, was faced with a divorce and her 11th move. She looked around her house, exasperated and overwhelmed — and had an idea. Barbara started Katalog, a project where she methodically photographed the 12,795 objects in her house.

Room by room she indexed and classified each item by color, material, and frequency of use. The final book has short stories that accompany the items, like the time she wrapped her naked body in a trench coat and ventured out.

Every time I accept a plastic bag in a shop, I hang my head in shame. What a waste! This reusable tote is a collab between MoMA x Baggu and is an homage to classic NYC plastic bags. Cute, funny, earth-friendly, and only $16.

Ahh, what present to get the summer host(ess)? Always a conundrum. Check out Lockdown’s selection of unique goods — like a retro tape cassette pool floatie and peaceful beach bats. Those won’t be forgotten soon.

Did you hear the aforementioned Wordle is being made into a board game? Might as well throw that in your cart along with the Hamptons edition of Monopoly

I’ve always preferred games to dolls, but I could break my lifelong Barbie ban for the Jane Goodall edition. They sold out fast, but while you are on that wait list, why not peruse Hasbro’s Selfie Series and customize a six- inch superhero/action figure with your own head. I’d play with you ;)

Quick props to @sharonsaysso for raising over a million dollars this past weekend for teachers. The money will be distributed in more than two thousand $500 grants. Follow her so you don’t miss the next important initiative.
