Instructions for living
a life :
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.

"Sometimes” by Mary Oliver

let us walk faithfully
One thing I love about the Church Year is that over half of it is classified as “Ordinary Time." This season lasts from Pentecost until Advent and it's profoundly meaningful that the Church recognizes that the majority of what we do in our daily lives as Christians is deeply ordinary.

We worship a God who delights in the ordinary – a God who made it, who became it, who redeemed it and is restoring it. He invites us to share that delight. During Ordinary Time, we get to turn our attention fully to the deeply sacred work of caring for our deeply ordinary lives. In this season of growth, we find that the God who is made known in the extraordinary events of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection, makes that remarkable work present in the everyday, ordinary experiences of humanity.

Pray
Lord of all power and might, the author and giver of all good things: Graft in our hearts the love of your Name, increase in us true religion, nourish us with all goodness, and bring forth in us the fruit of good works; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
