I have to be honest with myself. And you...
The truth is, ever since I graduated from my NLP Trainers Training I've been in this process of editing and trying out different things to make it feel better than how I was trained to teach it. But it's always felt like jamming a square peg into a circular hole - frustrating, right?
This summer I've been working with an incredible coach who has helped me admit to myself that I've lost the original fire I had for being a trainer in all the editing, regurgitating, and decision making I've done over the past two years. She taught me an energetic practice that allows you to release old energy where you visualize a piece of fruit in your right hand.
The fruit that came to me? A banana. But not a bright, yellow, spot-free banana that you might imagine when you first read that word.
A mushed banana.
One that had gotten so brown that if you squeezed it at all the mushy insides would ooze out between the peel, through the cracks.
Soft as applesauce.
In other words, I've tried so many things with a determined energy to fall back in love with running a training program. But I can't find that beautiful bright yellow banana.
Through this recent energy work with my coach (
thank heavens for Carla!) and crossing the threshold of my 30th birthday last week – my desire to follow my energy in a new direction is overshadowing my quest to make Mental Wealth Method make sense through remaking it yet again.
I've decided that I'm done editing. And the self-paced version that exists is already perfect. It was made with an astronomical amount of love and care and the folks who feel called to it will get exactly what they need, when they need it.
It's time to let go of the banana.
