Get to know designer Sue Gibbins, whose
Tiny and Wild
collection was released last month. Her artistic whimsy and fluidity really caught our eye and makes such lovely fabrics!
– “I’ve lived in a variety of exciting places including Thailand, Honduras and Philippines. I currently live in less tropical England in a pretty little village between Liverpool and Manchester.”
– "My surroundings, nature and travel very much inspire the designs I create. My artwork typically mixes graphic shape with hand-drawn line and ink brush detail using bold colour palettes. The vibe is happy, vibrant and oftentimes nostalgic."
Tiny and Wild
Inspired by shy birds hiding in the vegetation, pollinators zooming around, dainty flowers with the most delicate details, and juicy fruits hidden in the hedgerow.

IF YOU COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
Right by the ocean would be my perfect place to live, especially somewhere tropical with fascinating plants and animals above and below the waves.

That I get to share my love of nature, color and pattern with the world in a creative way through my designs.

WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH THE MOST?
My nieces and nephews. They quite often have me in stitches with their funny stories and antics!

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE SMALL?
A teacher. My brother and sisters still recall the lessons about our solar system conducted in the garden shed!

IF YOU COULD ONLY EAT ONE CUISINE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
It is difficult to choose just one. I like the variety and interesting flavor combinations found in Indian cuisines. So many dishes to explore and they are always delicious.
