Hi friends,
If you've been following me for awhile, you probably know how I feel about August. It's my favorite! Maybe because it's my birthday month, or maybe it's because of the way the sun sits in the sky, the flowers and grasses that are in bloom, and that touch of fall in the mornings. Summer days are numbered, so we become more intentional about how we spend them - checking off a few more things on the summer bucket list and enjoying simple pleasures that only summer offers.
This August is a little different for me. In many ways it's become a month of restoration. You can read about it below in my latest blog post “Restoration”.
Here at the shoppe, we are busy planning our fall and holiday classes. Look for that announcement in your inbox next Tuesday. Also coming up is our next Artisan Market - it's this Sunday, August 14! So hit the Elkhorn Flea Market and Lake Geneva's Art in the Park, then come relax here under the shade trees and support our local makers. We'd love to have you stop by.
The perennials keep coming, and we have some exciting ones: a salmon coneflower that looks like a zinnia, and a sweet violet clematis in bush form - both blooming right now! Some of our perennials and herbs are past their peak, so we are offering them at 50% off. Be sure to check out our ‘Plants with Potential’ benches when you're here.
We'll transition over to fall here in the shoppe later this month, and watch for special savings on my birthday, August 26!
I hope you, too, are savoring these days of summer.
Stop in sometime - you are always welcome here!
