Meet a Chain Breaker University Spring Cohort Queen: Stephanie Burke
Stephanie recently started her own YouTube channel, Mending Mahogany. We caught up with her and this is what she shared!
Chain Breaker Stephanie: "I had the desire for some time to start a channel and finally decided to stop letting fear stop me. Why the name Mending Mahogany? As a young girl, I saw the movie Mahogany with Diana Ross and fell in love with it. Back then it was rare to see black women that were not being stereotyped. That image stuck with me through the years. In life we will all encounter situations that break us. Like Humpty Dumpty, we find ourselves shattered by circumstances - and our lives require mending and healing. God desires for us to be healed and whole. In order to experience wholeness, we first must acknowledge the things that hinder our healing. Mending Mahogany is an invitation to have necessary healing conversations that point us back to the ultimate healer - Jesus. He is able to heal us everywhere we hurt, he is the mender of broken hearts!
