DAY 1:
Gently remove lymph with wipe or wet cotton pad EVERY 1-2 HOURS after appointment. Use provided ointment at bedtime.
DAY 2-4:
PAT eyebrows with wipe/wet cotton pad to clean area 3x5/day. Apply small rice grain amount of provided ointment each time after wiping (3x5 times a day). Think less is best! DO NOT over apply, we want the skin to breathe.
AFTER DAY 4:
Apply rice grain of provided ointment morning & evening for remainder of week. NO water in area for 7 days.
WHAT TO EXPECT AND DO POST TREATMENT:
- Brows will be puffy/swollen and oozing plasma. Tenderness and redness are all normal.
- Apply ice pack 10 minutes on, 20 minutes off, for the first 6-8 hours following procedure to reduce swelling. Icing after 24 hours has no effect.
- Color will appear dark/dramatic as it heals (2-14 days). Total healing time for top skin layer is 14 days, under layer of skin is 28-38 days.
- Sleeping elevated can reduce swelling
- Use a clean pillowcase for a week. We recommend a satin or silk pillowcase
AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOR 14 DAYS:
- NO makeup or skincare on brows, no scrubbing or touching treated area
- Never scratch or pick eyebrow area. Let flakes of skin naturally shed off, this is normal!
- Long, hot steamy showers or baths. Do NOT soak in bath/shower/pool/hot tub.
- NO sweating / exercise for 7-14 days
- NO sauna or swimming in fresh, salt or chlorinated water. Your brows are an open wound.
- UV exposure or tanning
AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOR 1 MONTH OR LONGER:
- NO Retin-A/Retinols or anti aging products, facials, laser light therapy for 30 days. If you are planning a chemical peel, botox, or any medical procedure, please inform us of the procedure you are having or had.
- No botox, fillers, injections for 1-2 months. Please wait until after your touch up session
- Retinols or antiaging products near brow area will fade your treatment faster over time
6-8 week touchups: Please note there may not be openings available if you need to adjust your touchup appointment within the 6-8 week window. Please make sure to put this appointment in your calendar! Appointment cancellations or reschedules require a 72-hour notice to avoid a $100 no-show fee.
