Mid-August Update/Recap
I can't believe I'm typing this, but we have 1 week left of summer vacation! Even though August is only half over, with school starting, summer feels…over over. [sad trombone sound]
We enjoyed ourselves as best we could! We dealt with Covid, nasty colds, and oppressive heat. We also went to Philadelphia for a weekend, the kids went to camp for 2 weeks, we enjoyed a couple trips home to Massachusetts, and plenty of local fun with playdates and my first trip to the New Britain Museum of American Art with Lily. Oh, and watching lots of Bluey.
Personally, it's been a slower summer. I've been reading more, reconnecting with friends, taking care of my plants, and preparing for the new school year where I'll have more time for my own work each day. I
We have 7 days left, and we have a few exciting plans - tours of the kids' schools, go out to breakfast at our favorite spot, a day at the local amusement park, check out the local library's tiny art show, and maaaaaybe squeeze in one more beach day.
