Dear First name / Parent,

As summer begins to draw to a close and we all prepare for the next season, you can expect a few more emails to guide you in your transition to a new school year and an entirely new learning model.

The 2022-2023 school year will be an exciting new adventure for all of us and we will learn many new things along the way.  This email is intended to introduce you to the Acton Academy Learning Design, which includes daily time blocked for SMART Goal-Setting, self-paced Core Skills, Quests, and more.

LEARNING DESIGN:
Below you will find high-level details about the Acton Academy Learning Design, which sets Capstone and other Acton Academies apart from conventional education models.

QUESTS OVERVIEW:
At Capstone, the school year will be divided into seven approximately six-week sessions called Quests.  These sessions culminate in a public exhibition where Learners demonstrate to families and the community the results of their hard work.

The Session One Quest for the 2022-2023 school year is called “Build the Tribe" and will begin on September 6th.  The Exhibition date for Session One will be Friday, October 7th from 11 AM - 12:30 PM.
