BEAVER BITES

  • First there was hockey. Then there was curling. Now there's pickleball. Easier than tennis, this low-impact sport is suddenly all the rage in many cities across Canada. In fact, it may just be the fastest growing sport in North America

  • When it comes to scuba diving, we often think of tropical places like Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. But there's also plenty of places to go scuba diving in Canada, including the far north for those really wanting an adventure.

  • Speaking of scuba diving, just don't get to close to the whales or you may get a $12,000 fine. That's what one scuba diver received in BC for a 2020 incident where he swam too close to a group of killer whales.

  • While we don't normally use Airbnb for standard rooms, it's still a great place to find unique stays, such as this house on a private island along the rocky coastline of St. Margaret’s Bay, Nova Scotia. This sounds like a great place to relax with a hot cup of coffee and a good book.

  • There's nothing quite like the soothing sounds of a String Quartet while surrounded by candlelight. Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations across Canada. We just got back from A Tribute to Queen and More at The Hangar Flight Museum, which was just beautiful.
