eyeliner aftercare instructions |
|
Apply a rice grain amount of provided ointment (Aquaphor) with a Q-tip 3 to 5 times a day for 1 – 10 days. DO NOT over apply, less is best! WHAT TO EXPECT AND DO POST TREATMENT: - Eyelids will be puffy or swollen. Use ice to reduce swelling for the first 6 to 8 hours. Icing after 24 hours has no effect.
- Color will appear dark/dramatic as it heals (1-10 days). Total healing time for top skin layer is 14 days, under layer of skin is 28-30 days.
- Flaking/shedding in the healing area is normal! DO NOT pick at flakes, let them fall off naturally
- Sleeping elevated can reduce swelling, avoid salty foods. Drink plenty of water!
- Use a clean pillowcase for a week. We recommend a satin or silk pillowcase
- Use wet Q-tip to separate crusty eyes in the morning if needed
- Do not let eyeliner become dry for the first week (7 days)
- Avoid contact lenses for the first 48 hours
AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOR 14 DAYS: - Makeup on the eyes (once healed use a new mascara wand)
- Scratching or picking
- Long, hot steamy showers
- Acid or manual exfoliants near eyes or anti aging creams near eyes
- NO sweating or tears
- Swimming or Sauna. Avoid pools, lakes, rivers or chlorinated water. Your eyes are an open wound, we don't want bad bacteria near eyes
- UV exposure or tanning
- Acne products or Hydroxy Acids
- Facials or Laser Light Therapy
- Lash extensions or lash growth serums/products (please wait until after your touch up session)
6-8 week touchups: Please note there may not be openings available if you need to adjust your touchup appointment within the 6-8 week window. Please make sure to put this appointment in your calendar! Appointment cancellations or reschedules require a 72-hour notice to avoid a $100 no-show fee.
