This Week's Update
Good Morning My Dear Friends!
Hello September! Let's Celebrate Fall!

How have all of you been since I have been away? I hope you are well and had a fun Labor Day weekend! I have been very busy the last couple of weeks getting my eStore Glam Budget Boutique ready for the big grand reopening (which was last Thursday), writing and publishing blog posts and finishing up collaborations and I just received an email for another very exciting collaboration with a clothing company and I am in the process of finalizing the details, more on this collaboration later.

And speaking of Glam Budget Boutique, The grand reopening was good! I had quite a few great responses about the candles and coffee mugs so hopefully this is the start of a great business venture for me!

Well, that's all I have for you this week. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I will talk with you all again next week! Now on to the recap of what was published on the blog before I took time off, my Friday faves and fails and a few other goodies to share too, so on to this week's update!

~Here's What I Have Been Loving This Week~

Olae Skincare Bakuchiol 3 %+Astaxanthin ($12.25  for 1 oz.), Niacinamide 8.5%+NAG 4% ($5.75 for 1 oz.) & Purifying Manuka Oil ($12 for 1 oz.) – I have been using these skincare products from Olae every morning for about 3 weeks or so and I am loving each one! After cleansing I apply 3 drops of the anti-spot serum, Niacinamide 8.5% +NAG 4% (NAG stands for N-Acetyl Glucosamine) all over my face & neck, then I apply 3 drops of the natural anti-aging oil Bakuchiol 3% + Astaxanthin (an antioxidant) on my face & neck. After I apply my Vitamin E cream, I apply 3 drops of the Purifying Manuka Oil on my face & neck. I have noticed my skin has brightened up a bit, has less texture and is feeling less dehydrated and more supple. If you are looking to up your skincare game and not break the bank, I highly recommend all 3 of these products! I love all of these and I will be repurchasing all 3 again before I run out! Olae is a French skincare company and all of their products are manufactured in France, they use clean ingredients and their products are cruelty free.

~Here's What I Have NOT Been Loving This Week~

OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Hair Oil Treatment ($6.64 for 2.01 oz.) - I have been looking for a drugstore dupe or alternative to my beloved Kerastase Elixir Ultime Hydrating Hair Oil ($24 for 1.7 oz. or $52 for 3.4 oz.). Well, in my opinion, this hair oil from OGX is not it. Don't get me wrong, this is a good hair oil, but for me, it did not perform as well as the hair oil from Kerastase, so I will not be repurchasing this and will continue to search for a dupe or alternative.

Pumpkin Dog Biscuits
Good Morning My Wonderful Friends!
Hello September! Hello Fall!

Hello everyone! I have missed barking with all of you! I hope you all are doing great and enjoyed the Labor Day weekend! I don't know about you, but I am ready for fall! It has been so very hot this week and I am over it! I am feeling the fall vibes, so I thought I would share a fall dog biscuit recipe that is perfect for fall and is so delicious! Here's how to make it:

~Pumpkin Dog Biscuits~

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ Cup Canned Pumpkin
  • 2 Tablespoons Dry Milk
  • ÂĽ Teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 2 ½ Cups Brown Rice Flour (brown rice flour gives the biscuits crunch and promotes better digestion. Many dogs have touchy stomachs or allergies and may not tolerate wheat flour).
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Parsley (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In large bowl, whisk together eggs and pumpkin to smooth.
  3. Stir in dry milk, sea salt, and dried parsley (if using).
  4. Add the brown rice flour gradually, combining with spatula or hands to form a stiff, dry dough.
  5. Turn out onto lightly floured surface (can use the brown rice flour) and if dough is still rough, briefly knead and press to combine.
  6. Roll dough between ¼” – ½” (depending on your dog’s chew preferences) and use biscuit or other shape cutter to punch shapes, gathering and re-rolling scraps as you go.
  7. Place shapes on cookie sheet, no greasing or paper necessary.
  8. If desired, press fork pattern on biscuits before baking, a quick up-and-down movement with fork, lightly pressing down halfway through dough.
  9. Bake 20 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and carefully turn biscuits over, then bake additional 20 minutes. Allow to cool completely on rack before feeding to dog.
These dog biscuits are so delish, so bark to your pawrents that you would like them to make these pumpkin dog biscuits for you! That's all I have for you this week! I hope you all have an awesome weekend and I will bark with you all next week and remember, adopt, don't shop!

Healthy Pumpkin Muffins
~Healthy Pumpkin Muffins~

These easy pumpkin muffins are my fall favorite for breakfast or snack time, and you will never know they are healthy because they are SO delicious! This recipe makes 12 muffins and here's how to make them:

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 3/4 cups white whole wheat flour or whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup pumpkin
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, at room temperature (or milk of your choice)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • Turbinado sugar (for sprinkling on muffins, optional)
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners or grease the cups with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin, eggs, maple syrup, cooled coconut oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir with a spatula until just combined. Don’t over mix.
  5. Pour the muffin batter evenly into the prepared muffin cups. Sprinkle the muffins with turbinado sugar, if using. Bake for 20-24 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Let the muffins cool and enjoy with a skinny pumpkin spice latte! (Recipe coming in next week’s newsletter).
