Have you ever failed at something in business, First name / babe?

Maybe it wasn't business… maybe it was school, or your job, or an #epicmomfail.

I still remember the time I had my biggest fail in business 👀

I had planned to launch my course, The Streamlined CEO, at the beginning of 2021.

I had worked SO HARD on this course. I'm talking countless hours recording, creating, setting up platforms, not to mention the needless marketing and nurturing I put in to sell.

I spent so much time on this course even my boyfriend was like, "You good in there?"

I followed every launch plan I could devour, I made this course intentionally, and most importantly, I KNEW the content was good. Like really good…

So where does the fail come in?

I launched the course, ready for the purchases to rolllll in. (I had a lofty goal to at least sell $10k in that first 2-week launch 😬).

But it was… 🦗🦗🦗

In that two weeks, I sold about 4 seats to the course which ended up being somewhere around $2k. Don't get me wrong… something is better than nothing. But I felt like I had just landed flat on my face. After spending dozens and dozens of hours on something, I was majorly disappointed in myself.

But then, the tough cookie in me said…

I had to realize that just because something wasn't WILDLY successful doesn't mean it was a flop. Because in reality, even if I only made $2k off that launch, I gained so. much. more insight…which ended up being 10x more valuable than the $2k.

I learned how to work with a purpose, staying put on a major timeline in my own business.

I learned what it truly meant to prepare for a major education launch for myself.

I CREATED a damn course (a win for even completing it)!

And I reminded myself I can do hard things when I set my mind to them.

I eventually went on to launch the course a second time before it went evergreen - since then I've supported over a dozen students in DIYing their Dubsado. ✨

All that's to say – just because something doesn't POP off for you, doesn't mean it's a failure. Just because you don't absolutely rock that thing you did, doesn't mean it was a flop. (I'm pretty sure people who place 3rd or even 4th and 5th in the Olympics don't see themselves as a failure, they see room for improvement).

And that's the message today – failures are really just humps in the road to give us the humble reminder that we have room for improve. 🖤
