This Week's Update
Good Morning My Dear Friends!
Hello Friday! Hello Weekend!

Friday is here, thank goodness! I hope you all had a great week! My week was really good, but also very busy! I finished up two collaborations with skincare companies and now I am very close to finalizing the collaboration details with a clothing company. It will not be long now, so be on the lookout for monthly blog posts and stories, posts and reels on Instagram (if you are not following me on IG and want to see my clothing posts, stories & reels, my IG handle is @sherri_glambudgetbeautyblog). I am very excited about this collaboration and I am really looking forward to sharing with all of you soon!

Over at Glam Budget Boutique, I have designed three new coffee mugs for my limited edition autumn coffee mug collection and two new coffee mugs for my everyday coffee mug collection. All I have to do is upload the new mugs into my eStore (I will get this done the weekend), then I will post the new mugs on Instagram (IG handle listed above) and Facebook, so make sure you are following on me on these social media platforms so you can see the new mugs on Monday!

Well, that's all I have for you this week. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I will talk with you all again next week! Now on to the recap of what was published on the blog, my Friday faves and fails and a few other goodies to share too, so on to this week's update!

~Here's What I Have Been Loving This Week~

Suave Skin Solutions Advanced Therapy Lotion ($4.47 for 32 oz.) – In my ongoing quest to broaden my skincare, body care and makeup horizons, I decided to give this body lotion a try. I have been using this body lotion for a few weeks and I am really liking it! This has a hydro complex that is supposed to provide all day moisture, is non-greasy, absorbs quickly and is paraben and dye free. I apply after my morning shower. This is non-greasy and does absorb quickly into my skin and my skin feels hydrated all day! I will be repurchasing at least one more time before the dryness of winter takes over my skin. So, if you are looking for a budget friendly, good body lotion, then I recommend giving this body lotion a try! I don't think you will be disappointed!

~Here's What I Have NOT Been Loving This Week~

Equate Aloe Vera Liquid Hand Soap ($3.92 for 50 oz.) - I have always bought Softsoap Soothing Aloe Vera Moisturizing Hand Soap Refill for what seems like forever, but on a whim, I decided to buy the Equate brand to try it out. This is a good hand soap. Cleans hands very well and isn't to drying. However, the consistency of this hand soap is very thin (Softsoap's consistency is much thicker) and when you pump soap onto your hands, the soap goes everywhere besides your hands. So, because of the thinner consistency, I will not repurchase this and go back to using Softsoap.

My New Dog Food
Good Morning My Wonderful Friends!
Hello Friday! Hello Weekend!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic week! My week was filled with the usual…napping, hanging out on the patio and playing with Ziva the Diva, making my mama crazy (always my favorite part of the week) and eating. Speaking of eating, mama has changed my food. It seems that the food she was feeding me has become quite expensive these days, so she decided to change my food to something that was more affordable while not compromising quality. She bought a bag of Purina True Instinct Dog Food ($9.68 for a 3.8 lb. bag). It has a blend of real turkey & venison. It's a dry food that has soft meaty bits. When mama served me my first bowl of this food, I thought, this isn't my food. What's going mama? But, once I tasted one of the meaty bits, I was hooked and now I am loving this food! If you are looking for an affordable, good quality dog food, then give this food a try. I am sure your doggy will love it as much as I do!

That's all I have for you this week! I hope you all have an awesome weekend and I will bark with you all next week and remember, adopt, don't shop!

~This Week's Recipe~
Spiced Pumpkin Raisin Cookies
~Spiced Pumpkin Raisin Cookies~

It’s that time of year where pumpkin everything rules and these cookies are no exception and are so good! Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour (substitution: whole wheat pastry flour or gluten free flour)
  • 2/3 cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Fine Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Allspice
  • 3/4 Cup Turbinado (raw) Sugar (plus additional for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 Cup Canned Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil (substitution: 1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce)
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Cup Raisins
Directions:
  1. Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees. Line 2 heavy large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, oats, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and allspice. Stir to blend well.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, pumpkin puree, oil, syrup, and vanilla; whisk to blend. Using a flexible rubber spatula, gradually stir the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture. Stir in the raisins.
  4. For each cookie, drop 1 generous tablespoon of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the mounds about 1 inch apart (or use a mini-ice cream scoop). Using moistened fingertips, flatten each to a 2-inch-diameter round. Sprinkle each cookie with turbinado (raw) sugar.
  5. Bake the cookies until brown and a bit firm to the touch, 17 to 20 minutes. Using a metal spatula, transfer the cookies to a wire rack and cool completely.
Not only are these cookies delicious, but they are also made with wholesome ingredients, so you won’t feel like you are cheating on your healthy eating plan while enjoying these cookies along with a skinny pumpkin spice latte! (I realize I said the skinny pumpkin spice latte recipe would be this week, but I thought this cookie recipe was better to share. The latte recipe will be in next week’s newsletter).
