Bowman Field is home to one of only two remaining functioning Tet's (tetrahedrons) in the US. A tetrahedron is installed on an airport to indicate the direction of landings and takeoffs when conditions at the airport warrant its use. It may be located at the center of a segmented circle and may be lighted for night operations. The small end of the tetrahedron points in the direction of landing. Our Tet has been lovingly restored by the Bowman Field Foundation, keeping the electronics working, painting, etc. Any donations will help us keep it up and running, as it's an iconic piece of Bowman History. Thank you for supporting this effort! |
|
There are still opportunities to help out with the event this weekend as one of our Volunteers! We have a number of open open positions with varying responsibilities, and this is a great opportunity to see behind the scenes and enjoy the sites! High school and college students can volunteer and earn service hours, too. We appreciate you considering a position to volunteer! ⭐ All volunteers will receive two General Admission tickets good for either day of the event, a meal, plus a commemorative t-shirt. |

We're so excited about BowmanFest and hope you are too! Get ready for a fun weekend with activities for the whole family and please contact us with any questions. |
